Zeverland servers & co-op: your world, your rules
Zeverland pivoted from a PvP MMO to a co-op PvE game with official servers and officially supported private servers — playable solo or with a crew. Here's what's confirmed about how you'll play, and what isn't.
Last verified: October 26, 2026 · Sources: roadmap, Fireside Chat #02/#03, official Steam page.
What's confirmed
- Solo mode works. The July 2026 roadmap announced self-hosted servers that support both solo and multiplayer co-op — playing alone is a first-class option, not an afterthought.
- Official servers + private servers. Officially hosted private servers for your own group are part of the plan, reaffirmed in Fireside Chat #03 (September 15, 2026).
- PvE, with protection rules. Survivors cooperate, not hunt each other — and the roadmap commits to strengthened PvE protection rules ("Waste No Wastelander").
- Seasonal worlds. Servers run in seasons, tied to the world projects and endings each community reaches.
What's still unknown
- Co-op party size. No official number has ever been published — any "4-player" figure you've seen predates the pivot. Not detailed
- Server rental vs. self-host tooling, modding support — not specified yet.
- Crossplay — moot for now: the game is PC via Steam only.
Is there an offline mode?
Not confirmed either way. What's confirmed: solo play is a first-class option — the roadmap promises self-hosted servers that support solo and multiplayer co-op — and servers run seasonal worlds tied to the world projects. A fully offline single-player mode has never been announced. Treat any "offline mode confirmed" claim as speculation until the studio says it. Unconfirmed
